What up, yo!

Little Miss Personality was at it again the other night when she got ahold of Daddy's hat.  Not much to say here, just a super cute picture to share!

Let me get this straight...

Hannah and Noah spent the day with Aunt Leslie on Friday while Grandma and Papa were on vacation.  For the longest time Aunt Leslie and all her fancy hair products have been wanting to try straightening Hannah's curly-cue hair.  Well, that's just what happened.  Hannah left the house in the morning without her hair being done because we were in such a rush, and she was excited when I suggested she ask Aunt Leslie to do her hair for her.  Aunt Leslie busted out the products, and we couldn't believe how different our little girl looked.  I swear she gained two years in age, and I know she gained at least three inches in the length of her hair!  Too cute!

Awwww!....wait, ewwww!

I wanted to take a sweet little video of my sweet little son.  He looked so cute and was just so happy after his big dinner.  He had been dive-bombing the video camera earlier, so I was prepared for a super cute little video.  Instead, I got...well, you'll see.  Make sure your sound is on!

Yummy Yummy

Apparently Hannah is not our only flexible child, nor am I the only one to frequently "put my foot in my mouth"!  Noah has recently, um, found his toes, I guess you can say.  He will suck on them whenever he doesn't have a sock on his feet.  It is quite amusing to watch him slurp the day away.  It also makes for some great photos!

Our Little "Guppy"

Hannah has now completed her first series of swimming lessons.  She loved the two day per week classes that she took at our rec center.  We were even fortunate enough that Uncle Mike's friend Jena teaches private lessons there, because Hannah was able to go twice for some private lessons.  Hannah's teacher was really great with her, and she made Hannah try hard every time she was there.  During the last class, Hannah even went down the big water slide with her.  The final report card that we got showed that she still has a couple of things to work on, namely, going underwater, blowing bubbles without looking scared to death, and coordinating her body enough to move her arms and legs at the same time.  Once she can do those things, she will be ready for the next level.  I think our plan right now is to give her some time off to get a little bit older and more coordinated, and then we will sign her up for another round.

Best Buddies

Hannah and Noah are becoming such good buddies.  Whenever Noah hears her voice, he starts turning his head to see where she is.  She can always get an easy laugh out of him, and it is amazing to watch him try to cheer her up when she is upset by laughing and smiling at her.  Hannah's favorite nickname for him is "buggas", which I think she has heard Grandma Diane say a few times.  We can't wait to watch these two as they get older to see how close they become!

A Sad Lesson to Learn

For Christmas last year, Hannah decided she wanted a fish.  We jumped on the idea and told her that Santa would probably bring her one if she traded in her "bo-bo" (pacifier).  When we went to the mall to visit Santa, she handed over a baggie full of bo-bo's and he handed her a beta fish.  She loved that little guy, and even though she put him through a lot, he seemed pretty hardy.

That is, until this last week.  The poor thing lived for 10 months, though!  Justin saw him laying on the rocks, and knew we had to break the news to her.  We showed her how he wasn't moving, and when she didn't quite get it, I gently said, "Honey, your fishy died".  She started WAILING!

She announced she wanted to tell Santa that her fishy died and that she needed a new one.  I stepped out to the garage, and somehow Santa called on the phone just as I left.  She told him what happened, and he suggested that mommy and daddy take her to the store to get a new fish.  She liked the idea, but insisted on giving her dead fish back to him.  We labeled an envelope with Santa's name and Hannah's as the return address, and put the fishy inside.  Then I took a short walk to the "mailbox".  Thank goodness it was trash night and our cans were already waiting outside--I'm sure putting a dead fish in a USPS mailbox is probably a felony of some sort!

The next night we went and got her a new beta fish.  She's named him Phillip and has seemed to recover quickly from the grief of losing her other one, thank goodness!
